However, I am not sure that was John's point - so after chuckling a little bit - I did take some notes..and I found that I need to do the following:
- step up as the leader
- bring out the best in my wife
- make time for talk - by listening, sharing & praising
- step up as the lover and increase the care factor (nurturing, cherishing & romancing)
A few items I picked up on that I need to start praying for my wife:
- that I would be used to able to bring out the best in her
- that I would focus on her needs instead of mine
- that I would spend more time in communication with her
- that she would be bold in her faith
- that I would love her as Christ loves the church
Quite a list ... this guy has a lot of work to do...
Stay Strong
Rob,
ReplyDeleteI thought of the same movie when I heard John speaking of What women want. I then paused for a moment and thought about the book that I had finished reading a few weeks ago. The book is called The Power of a Praying Husband by Stormie Omartian. This book gives men a guide to praying for the things our wives need most. It was an interesting book and I could feel the Holy Spirit fill my wife after each prayer I read. I believe this is a must have book for any Husband that believes in the power of prayer. Trust me when I tell you that I am glad my wife is reading the Power of a Praying Wife, because I know I need it.
thanks for the tip ... I will check it out!
